Jeff Hewitt, Executive Director, Housing & Asset Management - Civica

Jeff started his career with the Civil Service back in 1991, working in the Unemployment Benefits Service, before moving on to the Pay Strategy Unit where he worked on the modelling of pay awards for the Employment Service throughout the 1990’s.

After five years in the public sector, Jeff joined First Direct, a division of HSBC, in 1996, working as part of the development team responsible for the contact centre CRM solution. In 1999 Jeff became First Direct’s CRM Development Manager, leading on a number of key projects, including the introduction of real time banking and the rollout of Internet banking.

In 2002, Jeff joined Comino’s Senior Management Team as development lead for their Revenues & Benefits applications. When Civica acquired Comino in 2006, Jeff was responsible for the development of their housing management and contractor management solutions to the social housing sector.

In 2009, Jeff was appointed Operations Director of Civica’s Cloud & Managed Services division and successfully integrated the operational teams across the division as they grew to implement Civica’s cloud service over several data centres throughout the UK.

Jeff was appointed Managing Director of Civica’s ePayments service (ICON) in 2011 and used his experience in both product development and cloud deployment to consecutively grow the ICON business over a four year period, before being appointed Divisional Director of Civica’s Housing & Asset Management division. As Divisional Director, Jeff led on the delivery of Civica Housing Cx, using offshore development in Vietnam to deliver the market’s first, fully web based housing management solution. When Civica acquired Keystone in 2014, Jeff successfully managed the integration of the Colchester based company into the Group and now has sole responsibility for all aspects of Civica’s Housing, Asset and Fleet Management solutions as a member of the Executive Management Team (November 2015).

Simon Reynolds, Sales Director

Simon's work in social housing began when he was assigned the task of implementing the Choice Based Lettings system for the ODPM pilot scheme at the London Borough of Lewisham. The Lewisham pilot scheme was one of the 27 pilots to be funded by the ODPM and went live in May 2002. The Lewisham pilot used the choice based lettings module from Abritas to bring together the Council and 9 RSL partners in one scheme. Simon subsequently moved to Abritas as Sales Director.

Chris Bone, Operations Director

Chris has worked in the IT industry since graduating from Greenwich University in 1983 with a BA Honours degree in Business Studies. Prior to joining Abritas Chris has held a number of Executive Director roles for web development and managed service companies including five years as Managing Director of Spring IT Solutions a provider of outsourced development and support services to FTSE 100 companies.
